Waikato Expressway Cambridge Section enabling works - SH1 Discombe Road to Hautapu Road this week
As part of enabling works for the construction of the Cambridge Section of the Waikato Expressway a shoulder will be closed on SH1, between Discombe Road and Hautapu Road, this week.
Site clearance and services relocation is underway in this area to make way for the construction of the new 16km long, four-lane Expressway which will connect Cambridge to just south of Tamahere.
On Thursday and Friday this week motorists will be restricted to 30km/h along this section of SH1, and stop go traffic management will be in place.
The traffic management is to keep both the construction crews and travelling public safe while tree felling takes place.
Delays are not expected but motorists are asked to please allow for additional time when travelling through this area on Thursday and Friday.
This work is weather dependent. If impacted by weather the works will take place on the next available fine days.
