After earlier protest action today, full access has been restored to Wellington’s urban motorway (State Highway 1).
Protestors occupied a gantry over the urban motorway. For safety reasons, the motorway had to be closed to south bound traffic from the Murphy Street off-ramp between approximately 9.40 am and one pm.
The protest ended shortly before one pm, allowing the motorway to be fully reopened.
