Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising that The Esplanade exit and entry from State Highway 35 at Gladstone Road Bridge will be closed, with the bridge down to one lane, on Sunday 23 August between 7am and 5pm.
The closure is to enable experts to carry out survey work to help inform decisions about future safety improvements at the intersection of The Esplanade and State Highway 35 at Gladstone Road Bridge.
Traffic management will be in place during the closure, with the speed reduced to 30km/h.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and encouraged to use an alternative route if possible.
