Night work repairs will resume again from Sunday night, 23 August, to Friday morning, 28 August.

The work will allow an overhead section on one of the bridge towers to be repaired.

The Cook River bridge is part of the state highway network, SH6, six kilometres south of Fox Glacier.

Motorists will be able to get across the bridge during the night repairs every hour for a ten minute open period.

“Apologies for the inconvenience this may cause,” said Lee Wright, Transport Agency Journey Manager. “We have scheduled the works at night to minimise disruption to our road users.”
