State Highway 28 south of Te Poi is now open after a truck crash closed a section of the highway for most of the morning, says NZ Transport Agency.
The Transport Agency says the logging truck which rolled and blocked both lanes has now been removed and this section of highway north of Brown Road has been reopened.
There was minor disruption to traffic as a short detour was in place throughout the closure via Okoroire Road, SH27 and SH29. All lanes are now open with traffic flowing without any issues.
The Transport Agency’s Regional Performance Manager, Karen Boyt says “We want to thank motorists for their patience and understanding while the truck recovery operation was undertaken.”
