Motorists are advised to plan ahead for overnight closures on State Highway 27 in Matamata.
Starting Sunday 23 June, for 3 nights, sections of SH27 will be closed overnight to allow the road testing. This will take place between Short Street and Ratcliffe Street on SH27 including the SH24/SH27 roundabout.
Due to the complexity of the work site, the road will be fully closed overnight between 8pm and 5.30am Sunday 23 June, Monday 24 June and Tuesday 25 June.

No work will take place during the day but there will be temporary traffic management in place with a reduced speed limit of 30km/h.
We understand road closures can be frustrating, but they allow us to get work done efficiently and quickly. This means we can restore the road to normal traffic in the shortest time possible.
The testing is necessary ahead of road rehabilitation work, which will take place in October.
