The NZ Transport Agency says State Highway 25 between Coromandel and Whitianga at Whanagapoua Hill is currently closed due to a slip which is blocking the highway.
Workers are currently clearing up the slip material which is blocking the road just west of Quarry Road, Whanagapoua Hill. State Highway 25 at this location is expected to open to a single lane later on today, motorists are asked to use State Highway 25a or to avoid the area until later today.
The road is expected to be fully open by Monday when the remaining slip material should be completely removed. An update will be sent later today by the Transport Agency when State Highway 25 at Whanagapoua Hill opens to a single lane later today.
