State Highway 2, Remutaka Hill, is closed this evening as emergency services and contractors attend a crash on Remutaka Hill.
Update 7.10 pm:
The highway is now open, but with stop/go traffic management at the crash scene.
This means drivers travelling between Upper Hutt and Wairarapa can expect continuing delays on State Highway 2, Remutaka Hill
Waka Kotahi wants to thank drivers for their patience and cooperation while the crash scene is cleared.
Traffic bulletin 6.44pm:
The multi-vehicle crash was reported around 6.15 this evening and occurred near the Number One Bridge.
Delays are expected. Motorists should delay their journey and avoid the area.
