Wellington drivers can expect lane closures on State Highway 1 near Churton Park tonight and tomorrow. Road crews will do urgent pavement repairs in the southbound slow lane to repair rutting and potholes.
The maintenance is essential for maintaining the highway’s safety and resilience. The work will be carried out between 8 pm and 3:30 am tonight (Thursday, 29/30 August), and between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm tomorrow (30 August).
Drivers must follow instructions from road crews and all temporary traffic management in place. It is there to keep workers and drivers safe. NZTA/Waka Kotahi and the Wellington Transport Alliance thank drivers for their patience and understanding while this work is completed.
