The NZ Transport Agency has reopened State Highway 6 between Haast and Fox Glacier to one lane after a slip at Black Creek – between Fox Glacier and Karangaroa, after 8 am, closed the road temporarily.
Drivers may experience short delays around the area of the slip while it is fully cleared.
The slip was caused by heavy rain which brought down vegetation across the road. Check this map(external link) for any other highway updates– black pointers are closures, or the table version.(external link)
