Motorists travelling on State Highway 1 (SH1) south of Tirau are advised to expect short delays next week, while contractors finish installing safety guard rails along the route.
The NZ Transport Agency says a stretch of highway south of the town will be down to one lane for three days, from Tuesday February 10, during the hours of 7am and 5pm.
A speed restriction of 30km/h and stop/go traffic management will be in place during the works.
The job is weather dependent and may be postponed if necessary.
The Transport Agency thanks drivers for their patience and understanding while these works are under way.
