The Waitangi Bridge on State Highway 51 between Napier and Clive will be closed to all traffic for one hour between 6.30pm and 7.30pm tomorrow night (Saturday 11 March).
The closure will allow inspections to take place to evaluate how the bridge is holding up after being reopened to two lanes of traffic last week.
People are asked to time their travel for outside the closure period or to use alternate routes.
