A week of asphalting works is planned for a stretch of State Highway 57 just south of Levin from next Tuesday.
Crews will be on site between Arapaepae Road and Kimberley Road from next Tuesday (12 December), with work expected to finish the following Wednesday (20 December).
The work will take place weekdays between 8am and 4pm. During work times, SH57 will remain open to traffic in both directions, and will be under Stop/Go traffic management at the intersection of Arapaepae Road and Kimberley Road with a temporary speed limit in place.
The work is weather dependent.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency expects the delays will add up to five minutes to people’s journey times and we want to thank the local community and people who use the road for their patience during this work to improve and strengthen the road.
