The NZ Transport Agency is advising State Highway 5 between Napier and Taupo is closed due to a large slip at Te Pohue.
Road users are asked to delay travel if possible, as there are no official detours available at this stage. Crews are working hard to reopen the road.
An update will be posted on our website and social media pages as soon as the road is reopened.
