The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that due to a serious crash State Highway 33 at Okere Falls near Rotorua is closed, motorists are advised to use alternate highway routes.
Northbound and Southbound Traffic travelling between Rotorua and Tauranga should use alternate highway route SH36.
The Transport Agency says SH33 is likely to remain closed until at least 2.00pm this afternoon.
The Transport Agency thanks motorists for their patience and ongoing co-operation while this important maintenance work is being carried out.
