State Highway 30 (SH30) near Mangakino is closed due a serious motorcycle crash.
The NZ Transport Agency says the stretch of highway is not expected to reopen for several hours, to allow police to investigate the crash.
Detours via local roads are in place and motorists should expect only minor delays.
