The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists to expect short delays when travelling on State Highway 3 (SH3) Kihikihi this month as road reconstruction and resurfacing works get underway.
The works start at Whitmore St and extend south approximately 1.2km.
Contractors will start work on Monday March 16 and the work will be completed during daylight hours from Monday through to Saturday.
The full width road resurface and reseal is expected to take around five weeks (weather permitting) with an expected completion date of 21 April 2015.
The Transport Agency apologises in advance for any inconvenience and thanks motorists for their patience and understanding.
