Motorists are advised that portable traffic signals will be operating along State Highway 29 near Hastings Road from Sunday night to repair a small slip. Access for local Hastings Road residents will be available.
The work will be carried out at night only, commencing this Sunday night (13 April) at 8.00pm and going through to Wednesday 16 April with the work expected to finish each day at 6.30am, says the Transport Agency.
The portable traffic signals will be operating for all vehicles and a 30 km/h speed restriction will be in place through the work site. To find out more about these works please go to http://www.nzta.govt.nz/traffic/current-conditions/highway-info/road/7873/north-island.html(external link) or phone the Transport Agency's 0800 4 HIGHWAYS.
As the works can be undertaken at night to minimise disruption for motorists, minimal delays are expected, however detours options are via Pyes Pa Road (State Highway 36) back onto State Highway 29 or along State Highway 2 through the Route K toll road. The work will only be postponed if wet weather is encountered.
