Waka Kotahi is advising motorists that due to a slip on State Highway 29 near Old Kaimai Road, the highway is currently closed in both directions until further notice.
Heavy equipment is on the way to the site to begin clearing the slip.
Motorists are advise to detour via SH2, or expect delays until the slip can be cleared.
