Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists that the State Highway 25 Whangamatā Bypass will remain closed longer than expected to allow safe removal of trees and debris.
The closure was planned for between 9.30am and 2.30pm today, however the road will now open at 4pm. The additional time is needed to allow contractors to complete work to clear a significant amount of slip material that was exposed following the tree removal.
