The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that State Highway 23 (SH23) between Frankton and Whatawhata is CLOSED due to a serious crash.
Emergency services are at the scene and a detour is in place via Howden Road, Rowe Road and Bowman Road (westbound traffic) and vice versa for eastbound traffic.
Motorists should allow an extra 10 minutes travel time due to the detour. The road is expected to be closed for some time.
