Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises State Highway 2 has reopened to two lanes through the Waimana Gorge.
The road was closed to traffic yesterday following a slip between Fraser Road and Stanley Road, and was restricted to one lane overnight.
Contractors remained on-site overnight to monitor the slip and no further rockfall was observed.
