Motorists travelling on State Highway 2 (SH2) south of Omokoroa and north of Te Puna next Monday are advised that a manual stop/go operation will periodically be in place from Monday for a couple of weeks to allow workers to replace a water-main on the Te Puna Stream Bridge.
The bulk of the work is being undertaken under a shoulder closure between 7.00am and 6.00pm but in order to minimise disruption to motorists, periodic stop/go operations will be taking place between 9am and 4pm. Speed restrictions will only be in place during the stop/go work, says the Transport Agency.
Motorists are advised to keep to the posted temporary speed limits.
The work is expected to be completed by Friday 28 March.
