State Highway 2 between Katikati and Tauranga near Work Road is down to one-lane due to a burst water main, advises the NZTA.
Motorists are advised to expect delays today and tomorrow morning through this area while the site is being secured and repairs are being made to the burst water main.
A speed restriction of 50km/hr is in place and motorists are encouraged to avoid this area if possible or use alternative routes SH27 and SH29.
