SH1 Northern Motorway closures

Weather permitting, the following closures will take place on the Northern Motorway (SH1) from Sunday 28 September to Thursday 2 October.

The NZ Transport Agency wishes to advise that, weather permitting, the following closures will take place on the Northern Motorway (SH1) next week:

Monday 29 September to Thursday 2 October:

• Onewa Road northbound on-ramp closed from 10pm until 5am for paving and barrier removal. Detour via Sylvan Avenue or Lake Road to Northcote Road northbound on-ramp.

Sunday 28 September to Thursday 2 October:

• All motorway lanes southbound between Northcote Road and Onewa Road closed 10pm – 5am for bridge works.  Northcote Road southbound on-ramp and Esmonde Road southbound off and on-ramps will also be closed from 9.30pm.Detour via Northcote Road, Lake Road to Onewa Road southbound on-ramp.

Motorists are advised to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in place.
