The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) advises that State Highway One has now reopened to traffic.
However, NZTA Highway Network Operations Manager, Karen Boyt says Police have closed SH32 between Tokoroa and Whakamaru until further notice following the discovery of another crashed vehicle in the area earlier this afternoon.
“We would like to thank motorists for their patience in using the detours while the SH1 crash area was being cleared,” says Ms Boyt. “However, at this stage we cannot confirm when SH32 will reopen, until Police and other emergency services have completed their activities at that crash site.”
