NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi advises that the State Highway 1 East Taupo Arterial will be closed tomorrow night from 8.00pm Tuesday 25 June, so signage can be replaced between Centennial Drive and Broadlands Road.
Due to limited space on the state highway, the nature of the work to be undertaken and to keep the public and our team safe, the work will be undertaken at night.
A southbound road closure on SH1 East Taupo Arterial will be in place between 8.00pm and 5am between Centennial Drive and Broadlands Road.
Outside of these hours and days the road will be open as normal. We expect this work to be completed overnight, however the wet weather contingency date is Wednesday 26 June.
There may be some noise and vibration associated with this work, however, the team will be working to keep this to a minimum.
All south bound traffic on SH1 – including heavy haulage – will be detoured off SH1 at the Centennial Drive off ramp and go right down Centennial Drive then right on Broadlands Road and back onto the Broadlands Road on ramp.
