State Highway 1 Avalon Drive bypass (Hamilton) is CLOSED from the Crawford Street roundabout to the Norton Road roundabout due to a serious incident.
The NZ Transport Agency says emergency services are currently at the scene and motorists are advised to avoid the area or delay travelling if possible.
A detour via Avalon Drive and Lincoln Street is in place however traffic is heavy and long delays should be expected.
