January and February
The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that there will be night time road closures affecting access to and from SH1 Russley Road from 20 January to 18 February. The closures will take place at three intersections on different nights between 6.30pm and 5.30am and will not affect through traffic along the highway. Detours will be in place. The intersections affected are:
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow an extra ten minutes travel time due to the detours.
The works are weather dependent and may be postponed until the next suitable date if required.
At this stage we expect Harewood Road (east) to be closed between the roundabout on SH1 and Waimakariri Rd on Sunday night (January 21) and Monday night (January 22).
And final surface work is expected to close southbound and northbound ramps on the Russley Road/Memorial Avenue intersection during the following nights (Jan 20th, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29) and Feb 3, 4, 9, 10).
The Transport Agency apologises for any inconvenience caused by the works.
