The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists that road resurfacing works planned for State Highway 2 High Street at the southern end of Masterton starting next week will be postponed due to a forecast of more rain.
Contractors were set to start resurfacing High Street from Bledisloe Street to north of Ngaumutawa Road on Monday 26 November, with a detour for northbound traffic.
However, road surfacing materials cannot set in wet weather and with more rain forecast again next week, the work will not go ahead at the planned date.
A new date will be publicised as soon as possible.
Plan ahead for a safe, enjoyable journey this summer. Keep up to date with:
