Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists to expect delays on State Highway 35 between Raukokore Bridge and Cemetery Rd from Monday, as road repair works get underway.
Bay of Plenty System Manager Rob Campbell encourages everyone to drive with care through the site and obey temporary speed limits to ensure the safety of road workers and other road users.
“The road will operate under Stop/Go traffic management during the day with a 30km/h temporary speed limit in place during the day and a 50km/h temporary speed limit overnight.”
Works are expected to be completed by mid-February, weather dependent.
