The NZ Transport Agency is advising road users they may experience short delays tomorrow (Friday) on State Highway 1 near Kekerengu on the Kaikoura Coast as vehicle recovery takes place following a three-truck crash on Thursday morning.
From 5:30am Friday 8 August the area around the crash site will be down to one lane under stop/go traffic control. From midday the road will be closed for intervals of around 10-15 minutes to allow a crane access to the site to remove the trucks.
“We appreciate that State Highway 1 around the Kaikoura Coast is an important route between Picton and Christchurch and we appreciate road users’ patience while the vehicles are safely moved from the highway,” Steve Murrin, NZ Transport Agency, Journey Manager Marlborough says.
