The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists that State Highway 58 will be closed from Hayward’s Intersection through to the Pauatahanui Roundabout from 10am to 3pm on Wednesday 19 February.
The road needs to be closed while the Transport Agency carries out repairs and minor safety improvements to this section of the state highway.
Transport Agency Regional Performance Manager Mark Owen says the Transport Agency is grateful to motorists for their patience and understanding.
"We appreciate that this causes people some inconvenience and we thank drivers for bearing with us while we get this important work done."
There will be a 30 km/hr speed limit in place Thursday 20 February and Friday 21 February so the new surface can fully set. Motorists should expect delays of up to 10 minutes. Motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys around these times, or to travel via the Ngauranga Interchange and SH1/SH2.
