Overnight on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 September, State Highway 29A, between the Maungatapu roundabout and SH2/SH29A Te Maunga interchange, will be closed in one direction at a time to apply final surfacing around the SH29A roundabout at Baypark.
Road users will be detoured via SH2, local roads and the Hairini bridge.
This is a significant overnight road closure with considerable associated detours, and NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) would like to thank road users for their ongoing patience.
On Wednesday 4 September (from approximately 7pm to 5am):
On Thursday 5 September (from approximately 7pm to 5am):
Throughout the week, from Sunday 1 September to Tuesday 3 September (from approximately 7pm to 5am each night) Truman Lane will be closed from Mangatawa Link Road to the SH29A roundabout.
Access to Truman Lane businesses and Baypark only will be available via SH2 Sandhurst interchange and a staffed access point on Truman Lane.
This work is weather dependent. If it is delayed because of weather or other unforeseen issues, it will be carried out on the next suitable night/s.
People travelling through the area will continue to encounter overnight road and lane closures, and signposted detours.
Closures vary night to night, depending on site requirements and people are asked to allow extra time, follow signposted detours and drive with caution through the project site.
Work is undertaken at night to minimise disruption to people travelling through the area.
Road users can check the latest state highway road conditions, including where worksites and incidents are, on the NZTA Journey Planner (journeys.nzta.govt.nz).
NZTA thanks drivers, local residents and business for their patience.
