NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) is advising motorists that due to a truck fire between Oram Road and Island Block Road this morning, southbound traffic was stopped.
One lane has now been opened by Police however traffic remains heavy with delays up to 35 minutes.
Motorists are urged to expect delays, however emergency services are working to reopen lanes as soon as possible.
