The NZ Transport Agency says all road users should be aware of speed restrictions and changes to highway and road layouts at the following locations where improvements are being made to Northland's state highway network.
State Highway 1 North
- Whangarei: highway upgrade from SH1/SH14 to SH1/Selwyn Avenue
- Ohaeawai to Springs Flat: roadmarking
- Topuni: tree removal
- Oakleigh: Katetoke bridge repairs
- Waitiki Landing: bridge repairs
- Waihou: repairs to White's culvert
- Te Ahu Ahu Road: right turn bay safety work
- McLeods Flat: guardrail improvements
- Mangamuka (Makene Road): slip repairs
- Kaiwaka: slip repairs
- Umawera: repairs to highway surface
- Warkworth (Valerie Close): guardrail repairs
- SH1/SH10 intersection: warning lighting
- Watercutting will be in progress at various sites
State Highway 10
- Kaeo: 50/70kph speed restriction
- SH10/SH11 intersection: warning lighting
- State Highway 11
- Lemons Hill: 50/70kph speed restriction
- Opua: 50/70kph speed restriction
- Waikokere Bridge: scour protection
- SH11/SH10: warning lighting
State Highway 12
- Maungaturoto: highway upgrade and improvements, and bridge repairs
- Matakohe and Ruawai: slip repairs
- Kaihu: shoulder repair by culvert
- Watercutting at various sites
State Highway 14
- East of showgrounds: slip repairs
- Maunu to Tangiteroria: repairs to highway surface
