The NZ Transport Agency wishes to advise that the repair and resurfacing work at the intersection of SH20A / Kirkbride Road / George Bolt Memorial Drive, due to start on Tuesday 21 April has been postponed due to weather.
Work will now start on Thursday 23 April 2009.
The works will be carried out at night between 8.00pm – 5.00am, when traffic volumes are light and there is the least disruption for road users. Works are expected to take around 4 nights to complete, ending Wednesday 29 April at 5.00am (there will be no work on Friday or Saturday night).
These works are weather dependant, and if postponed, they will resume the next fine evening.
During this time, there will be lane restrictions both northbound and southbound, and detours for eastbound and westbound traffic. Please allow extra time if you are travelling to the airport, and/or follow the signed detour route.
These works are important to ensure the motorway network is kept in good condition, improving safety and ride comfort for road users.
NZTA thanks you for your patience and apologises for any inconvenience. For any queries or more information about this work, please call 09 5200 200.
Thank you.
