Wellingtonians heading to and from the airport and the Miramar Peninsula need to be ready for a change to their regular drive next week.
Resurfacing works are planned for State Highway One Cobham Drive near the Troy Street roundabout. It means there will be lane closures and detours in place while this work is carried out between 5 and 7 March.
The road works have been timed to happen at night over the three days. The aim is to cause as little disruption as possible to road users and residents. However, people travelling to Miramar and the airport need to be aware of it and plan for some minor travel delays.
Drivers must take care when passing through work sites and observe all temporary speed limits. Waka Kotahi understands roadworks can cause frustration for drivers and affected residents. However, this is an important transport link, and its maintenance must be kept up to date.
