The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) advises that road works will be carried out in Hamilton next week near the SH26 intersection in Hillcrest and minor delays are expected.
The works involve the reconstruction of a 300 metre section of Morrinsville Road from the roundabout near Hillcrest Burger King to Morris Road.
NZ Transport Agency Regional Director Harry Wilson says the traffic plan has been designed to have minimal disruption on the traffic passing through this area and electronic message signs will used to warn motorists of possible delays while the works are underway.
Mr Wilson says, “We have purposely planned the works to be carried out during the school holidays as soon as possible after the V8 weekend. Along with minimising event congestion, the timing of the works will avoid school traffic and minimise the risk of children walking through the work site close to machinery.”
The works will be carried out at night on Monday April 20 and during the day for the next three to four days.
