Motorists travelling on State Highway 1 (SH1) through the Woodlands area (about 12 km North of Invercargill), are advised to expect minor delays on this section of highway over the next month.
The highway will be reducing to one lane to allow construction work on new passing lanes being built at this site, the new passing lanes will improve safety and reduce travel times on SH1 between Invercargill and Gore.
The NZ Transport Agency says the road will be down to one lane during the day, with traffic managed by either signals or stop/slow control. Outside of construction hours, both traffic lanes will be available.
