Maruia Springs, SH7 Lewis Pass, culvert repair Tuesday, 22 October

|

People using the Lewis Pass route between Canterbury and the West Coast or Nelson on Tuesday, 22 October, will face delays of up to 50 minutes.

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) will close SH7 between Maruia Springs and Springs Junction between 9am and 5pm while a culvert is repaired. (See map below).

Travellers will be allowed through on the top of each hour.

As the summer highway repairs and construction season has begun, people should  allow extra time for additional work sites in neighbouring districts.

Check Journey Planner  for up-to-date information.

Thanks to all road users for their patience while this repair is completed, says NZTA.
