Lower North Island

Work will begin next month on safety improvements for intersections at State Highway 2 and Hebden Crescent.

CubaDupa is on in Wellington this weekend. Drivers travelling on State Highway 1 through the CBD can expect  an altered southbound lane layout on Vivian St. Please also take care as the event is likely to see more pedestrians in the city for the event.

Drivers heading north on State Highway 2 to Upper Hutt on Sunday should also be on the lookout for cyclists. A time trial event is being held near Hebden Crescent. It will see changes made to lane layouts for north bound traffic.

Top of the South Island

Drivers need to be aware of these upcoming and ongoing works in Nelson and Marlborough.

There are also more closures this week on the inland route to Christchurch as work crews  complete culvert replacements on State Highway 65 - Shenandoah Highway

Looking ahead, regular users of State Highway 6 between Nelson and Westport need to be ready for a three-day full closure in the Upper Buller Gorge at the end of April/beginning of May.
