The Metservice has a heavy rain watch for Nelson and Golden Bay between 2 am and 4 pm on Saturday, 1 April. Road users should take care on the roads and drive to the conditions.
In Wellington, drivers should be thinking about planning ahead for a weekend closure of State Highway 58 at the end of April.
