The details below outline the main planned state highway roadworks occurring in the greater Wellington region and the top of the South Island over the coming week (19 March 2023).
Drivers in the Marlborough region need to be aware the annual grape harvest is continuing. While the peak of the season is coming to an end, there will still be heavy machinery (harvesters and trucks) on Marlborough roads and highways. Extra caution is advised when travelling in the region.
Further details about regional state highway conditions and roadworks are also published on our website:
NOTE: Roadworks are dependent on weather and other factors. If bad weather should strike, work will be postponed to the next suitable night in the works programme.
