NOTE: Roadworks are dependent on weather and other factors. If bad weather should strike, work will be postponed to the next suitable night in the works programme.

State Highway 1

SH1 Peka Peka 

  • Saturday, 28 January to Tuesday, 31 January day/night
  • Expect lane closures and restricted speed limits for surfacing works

State Highway 59

SH59 Porirua, north of Transmission Gully Motorway interchange

  • Monday and Tuesday nights, 7 pm-5.30 am
  • Northbound one lane closed for road repairs

SH59 Pukerua Bay

  • Stop/go traffic control fulltime, day and night for hillside stabilisation works

SH59 Pukerua Bay, near Wairaka Road

  • Monday to Friday during the day, 9am-4pm
  • Stop/go traffic control for pathway project

State Highway 58

SH58 Haywards Hill Road

  • Sunday to Thursday nights, 7 pm-5 am
  • Stop/go traffic control for project works.

SH58 Haywards Hill to Pauatahanui

  • Tuesday to Friday during the day, 9 am-3 pm

SH2 North of Dowse Interchange 

  • Sunday to Thursday nights, 7 pm-5.30 am
  • Southbound one lane closed for cycleway project works

SH2 Near Major Drive and Kennedy Good Bridge intersections 

  • Sunday & Tuesday to Thursday nights, 7 pm-5.30 am
  • One lane closed each direction for traffic signal upgrades

SH2 Upper Hutt, near Topaz Street

  • Stop/go traffic control for road repairs

  • The road is open to two lanes with a 50 km/h temporary speed limit
  • Rockfall area

SH6 Kawatiri Junction

  • Resurfacing work from Kawatiri Junction to Gowan Bridge
  • Monday 30 January to Thursday 2 February
  • 6 am – 6 pm, Stop/Go traffic management, 30km temporary speed limit
  • Outside work hours 50km TSL due to loose chip and no road marking

SH6 Hope Saddle

  • Resurfacing work, southern side of the Hope Saddle.
  • Wednesday, 1 February to Friday, 3 February

SH6 Clark River Bridge

  • Resurfacing work, either side of Clark River Bridge.

  • Sweeping and line marking should be completed by midday Friday, 3 February

SH6 Kohatu Junction

  • Resurfacing work, either side of Kohatu Junction.
  • Wednesday, 1 February to Friday, 3 February
  • 6 am – 6 pm, Stop/Go traffic management, 30km temporary speed limit
  • Outside work hours 50km TSL due to loose chip and no road marking
  • Sweeping and line marking should be completed by midday Friday, 3 February

State Highway 60

SH60 Bird’s Hill, Golden Bay

  • Road is down to one lane 24/7, Stop/Go traffic lights operating, 30 km/h temporary speed limit
  • Road underslip work

State Highway 65

SH65 Shenandoah

  • Monday to Friday, between 7 am and 6 pm, the road is down to one lane, Stop/Go traffic lights operating, 30 km temporary speed limit
  • Outside work hours and from midday Friday, 27 January to 9 am Tuesday, 31 January, road is open to two lanes with no speed restrictions.  Traffic management: shoulder closure only.
