Important information for drivers.
Lower North Island
- There are a range of works drivers need to be looking out for in and around Wellington. Nightworks.
- In Wairarapa, work continues on the Tauwharenīkau Bridge on State Highway 53, and rehabilitation works remain underway on State Highway 2 Chapel Street in Masterton.
- Drivers also need to be plan ahead for night closures and maintenance on State Highway Remutaka Hill. Two weeks of night closures will happen later this month.
Top of the South Island
- In Marlborough, one more day of maintenance work is planned for the Wairau River Bridge on State Highway 6 this Sunday, and the construction of a new roundabout between Blenheim and Renwick is entering its final stages
- In Nelson, new pedestrian refuges will be built on State Highway 6 this month.
The details below outline the main planned state highway roadworks occurring in the greater Wellington region and the top of the South Island over the coming week (from Saturday 4 May).
