Road works are scheduled to begin next week on State Highway 2 in Katikati, and minor travel delays are expected.
The NZ Transport Agency advises that road works are scheduled to begin next week on State Highway 2 in Katikati, and minor travel delays are expected.
The works will take approximately one week to complete, and will affect the section of SH2 from outside the Talisman Tavern, past Beach Road and towards the Uretara Stream Bridge.
NZTA Regional Director, Harry Wilson, says most of the work will be carried out at night to minimise disruption for motorists and business owners. Sealing work will be carried out during the day, but should only take one day to complete.
The works will be under stop/go traffic control at times, and a 30 km/h speed restriction will be in place through the work area.
Mr Wilson asks motorists to please take care and allow some extra time for their journey while the works are underway.
These works are weather dependant and may be delayed if the weather is wet.
