The NZ Transport Agency says the Northern Gateway Toll Road (SH1 between the Silverdale interchange and Puhoi) will be closed in both directions during the night of Monday 17 August 2015.
The toll road and twin tunnels will be unavailable while the work is carried out between 8.00pm on August 17 and 5.00am August 18.
The following detours will be in place during the closure:
Hibiscus Coast (previously known as SH17) between Puhoi and the Silverdale interchange, in both directions. This will add approximately 15 minutes to journeys.
This work is an important part of the NZ Transport Agency’s maintenance programme to ensure the safety of the Johnstones Hill Tunnels and the toll road.
