The NZ Transport Agency is advising people heading to Hamilton Airport to allow plenty of extra time for their journey following a serious crash on State Highway 1 south of Hamilton.
The road is blocked near Tamahere.
Diversions are in place but the agency says delays in the area are likely for all road users.
People travelling to the airport should consider using State Highway 3 from Hamilton.
