Waka Kotahi is advising drivers to plan ahead for an all day closure of SH43 tomorrow (Wednesday 24 August 2022) while crews remove a stranded logging truck and trailer unit at Aukopae.
SH43 will be closed from Kururau Rd, Taumaranui to Managaparo Rd from 7am to 6pm, with no access past the truck recovery site.
Waka Kotahi says the full closure is needed, as a crane will be required to remove the truck and trailer unit as well as removing the logs it was carrying from the site.
The work will be completed as soon as safely possible, but road users should plan for an all day closure.
